Daisy
October 10, 2019
Daisy passed away at home with her family after 14 ½ years of adventures. She was born in the spring of 2005 and was originally slated to be a hunting dog. Plans changes and at the age of 4 months and already named Daisy, she joined the Meadows family. In addition to her little human siblings who were 4 and 6 at the time, she also gained a canine sister, Blue. They were instant best friends and were inseparable. They were always side by side chasing tennis balls until their paws were bleeding. Daisy would hoard them until she had 3 in her mouth at the same time. Daisy greeted everyone by jumping straight up in the air like her paws were spring loaded. She would jump eye level with adults and wiggle all the way. She was a great family dog always tolerating the kids climbing on her or dragging her into their pillow forts. Daisy loved a car ride especially to her favorite swimming hole. As any lab, she loved the water too. When her humans were jumping off a large rock into the water, Daisy followed with a smile. Daisy once chewed a hole in a door large enough for her to fit through. She chewed up the house and climbed back in the hole as if she hadn’t done anything. She was wagging her tail to welcome her family home to the mess she had made. After Blue passed away (8 months ago) Daisy would never eat all the food in her bowl. She always left some for her. Besides her human family, she also leaves behind her four-legged friends, Bandit, Grandma, Ricky, and Bella. She was preceded in death by her canine sister Blue. Daisy was more than just a dog; she was part of our family. She shared a pillow when she slept on the bed and had her own spot on the couch. Safe travels across the rainbow bridge, we know Blue Belle will be prancing to greet you. We hope you enjoyed your life with us, we will miss you!
